Telmisartan & Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets

Telmitic-H is a combination of Hydrochlorothiazide and telmisartan. This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure  Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that works by blocking a substance in the body that causes the blood vessels to tighten. Thus, it relaxes the blood vessels and lowers blood pressure, and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that reduces the amount of water in the body by increasing the flow of urine, which helps lower blood pressure.

Telmisartan & Hydrochlorothiazide Tablets may cause dizziness so get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. It can cause rare allergic reactions so be sure to get medical help if hives or difficulty in breathing is experienced. These tablets are used together when 1 drug alone is not controlling your blood pressure. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.

Directions For Use 

• It can be taken with or without food, usually once daily. 
• It is best to avoid taking this medication within 4 hours of your bedtime.
• Swallow it as a whole and do not crush or chew the tablet.
